1.  For all have sinned

Romans 3:23 clearly states that every human being is a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Sin is when we disobey God’s laws. “… for sin is the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4.

2.  Sin has a Price

Because of the fact that we are sinners, we are separated from God and on our way to eternal damnation in Hell. “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power;” 

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9.

3.  Jesus paid that Price

The good news is that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, into the world to die in our place. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” John 3:16a “Who his own self (Jesus) bare our sins in his own body on the tree…” 1 Peter 2:24. Jesus died on the cross to pay for the sins of every person in the world. He was buried and then on the third day rose again! “…how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4

4.  Simply Believe

 All those who come to Jesus in faith believing the gospel (the message explained above) can have a relationship with God as their Father and will have a place reserved in Heaven for them. “…that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but should have everlasting life.” John 3:16b “But as many as received him [Jesus], to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12.
